OVERVIEW
Tully Park Phase 2, Cherrywood
MOLA Architecture in collaboration with Murray & Associates landscape architects were appointed by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council to complete the second half of Tully Park. Tully Park is the flagship park of the Cherrywood SDZ development. The park is centred around the national monument and protected structure Tully Church and is bisected by Lehaunstown Lane which is to become a greenway which links Beckett Park, Tully Park and onwards to Ticknick Park.
MOLA are primarily responsible for the public kiosk element of the park development, a 118sqm single storey public building, comprising a Tea Room, externally accessible public toilets, staff space, storage and ancillary accommodation. In addition to this MOLA provided conservation services in relation to the boundary enclosure of the Tully Church, which required emergency works to stabilise parts of the structure in advance of works to represent the boundary wall to the park. The project is at an advanced stage of construction and due for completion in late 2022.
