OVERVIEW

Hines Real Estate have been developing a ‘mixed-use developments’ at Cherrywood Town Centre under a Masterplan designed by MOLA in 2017. Cherrywood Town Centre 2 (TC2) is Hines’ first large-scale mixed-use development in Ireland, and they needed to provide world-class amenities to attract tenants to their “Build to Rent” apartments.

They commissioned MOLA to design this high-profile facility, stipulating that it should act as a shop window for the development, foster a sense of community, and create a focus on wellness within this new residential model. The amenities were to be housed in a designated area of 1,100sqm spread over three levels. The brief included a varied and complex programme of spaces needed to serve the residents and the in-house staff working on site. Included in the complex is a gym and wellness studio, a café / co-working hub, management offices, and a relaxed lounge and entertainment space that can be booked for private functions.
