Catherine Street, Limerick, Offices & Apartments

MOLA Architecture was appointed in 2019 to seek planning permission for a new mixed-use development located on Catherine Street within the Georgian Quarter of Limerick.

The site provides a vibrant and historical context for an office and residential development, which is anchored around the renovation of three Georgian terrace houses, located on Catherine Street. Sustainability has been integrated into the design, in the form of solar panels, district shared electricity, recessed windows for solar shading. A central atrium space offers a flexible venue for office and public events, benefiting from an independent entrance through a retained historical archway. The natural gradient of the side street provided an opportunity for a semi-basement for electric vehicles and plant, a large tenant amenity is located at rooftop with dramatic panoramic views of Limerick and the Shannon.

The scheme was granted planning permission in November 2020.
