OVERVIEW
Broadstone Student Residences
Phase 1 New Build: The heart of this project was the provision of 96 student beds in a strategic location in Dublin’s north inner city, located within walking distance of three major third level education institutions.
The building design was generated from three distinctive objectives:
- to provide a setting for student life separate to the campus experience;
- to create an urban intervention that went beyond identification as a residential block and
- to execute the use of materials as clear sculptural elements.
Phase 2 Refurbishment: MOLA Architecture in conjunction with the new owners provided additional rooms to increase the occupancy to 103no. residents, by upgrading and re-arranging elements of the original layouts and providing new finishes and additional landscaping amenity elements.
