Sport Ireland Long Barn Development Opening

This week sees the formal opening of the Sport Ireland Long Barn Development by Minister for Sport and Physical Education, Thomas Byrne, TD on the National Sports Campus, Abbottstown. The development provides a permanent base for the Olympic Federation of Ireland on campus and a dedicated Athletes lounge for the Sport Ireland Institute, creating an athlete-centred area to support Team Irelands preparation for Paris 2024. The works required the adaptive re-use, refurbishment and extension of the courtyard building connected with Abbottstown House and is first part in a suite of developments in the historic core of the campus.
