MOLA wins the ‘Green Building of the Year’ Award at the 2023 Irish Construction Industry Awards

In a packed Mansion House, hosted by Limerick comedian Karl Spain, MOLA’s design for the Sustainable Meeting Pods at Cherrywood won the prestigious prize against stiff competition. The Meeting Pods located within an enhanced public realm, including MOLA’s award-winning Canopy and Biophilic Sunken, is part of an overall enhancement programme of the Cherrywood Business Campus by Spear Street Capital.

The beautifully detailed pods offer biophilic meeting spaces for the tenants and are elevated within the tree canopy with dramatic views over the central lake. Each pod is highly energy-efficient, producing 300% of its energy needs, with surplus energy being redirected to power landlord lighting etc. elsewhere.
