MOLA research team prepare paper on post Covid19 Workplace Design

The MOLA research team has been investigating the implications of Covid 19 on the design of workplace environments and have prepared a design paper on the workplace of the future. The COVID 19 global pandemic has had a dramatic impact on mankind’s traditional methods of working, communication, travel and social engagement. While the health implications of the virus have been fatal, the last few months of social distancing have also provided a unique opportunity for a worldwide experiment in how we work, travel and engage with each other, with further possibilities that could also help tackle climate change and the implications of global warming. The pandemic has inadvertently forced us to pause and question fundamental assumptions with further possibilities for reinvention and global reforms. The MOLA paper looks at immediate measures which can be taken to make the workplace safe and adhere to social distancing guidelines, however the main focus is to explore the long term implications and how these may influence the approach to workplace design in the future.
