Architecture Ireland’s latest edition takes a closer look at MOLA’s approach to medium to high density residential development, featuring the redevelopment of the former Tara Towers Hotel site on Merrion Road. The project succeeds in providing diverse housing typologies from row-house to penthouse apartments, enjoying varied views and orientations, and organised around a series of generous communal open spaces.
The scale of the development mediates between the low-density context of Booterstown and the larger scale of the Elm Park development, creating a distinctive and welcome addition on the fringe of Dublin Bay.
