MOLA Architecture is an architectural and interior design practice with an established reputation for the design and delivery of high-quality building projects across a range of sectors. We place considerable focus on achieving technical excellence and are at an advanced stage of implementing BIM across the office as our preferred system for information production and dissemination. We are now seeking a fulltime, forward thinking BIM Manager to join our team of over 55 design and technical professionals who will play a pivotal role in the future of our digital design processes.

The Role:
As the BIM Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of BIM processes across the practice. You’ll work closely with our talented team to streamline workflows, enhance project efficiency, and meet the evolving needs of our clients. This role is perfect for a proactive, detail-oriented professional passionate about driving innovation and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
Level 7 FETAC Qualification or higher

Key Responsibilities.

  1. Implement BIM Level 2 procedures within MOLA in accordance with PAS 1192-2:2013, PAS 1192-3:2014, BIM Protocols, Construction Operations Building Information Exchange (COBie) standards, including Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR), BIM Execution Plan (BEP) Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP).
  2. Provide individual and group training to all MOLA staff in the use of BIM processes and in REVIT training.
  3. Manage the implementation of supporting software of BIM: Develop a “best practice” for Revit users and other related BIM Software.
  4. Deliver CPD in BIM documentation, workflow process and Revit standards.
  5. Train and oversee the day-to-day activities of Revit in live projects.
  6. Create Revit user manual standards.
  7. Provide Quality control to ensure BIM standard are maintained in the development of Architectural Revit Model.
  8. Support in troubleshoot problems.
  9. Run clash detection with Revit and Navisworks.
  10. Review and/or create project specific BIM documentation/protocol (EIR, scope of services, DRM, etc)
  11. Constantly maintain and improve Revit template and Families.
  12. Liaison with the design team and sub-contractor and to develop a BIM strategy.
  13. Report to the manager and to work together on strategies and target to achieve.
  14. Liaison with BIM vendors and IT support staff.
  15. Attend seminars and workshop for BIM and to deliver the learning to appropriate teams.
  16. Research, and keep update on the development of UK BIM strategy and RIAI BIM Implementation.
